Clearwater Car Wash Celebrates First Anniversary
WARSAW — Clearwater Car Wash, the state of the art car wash opened by nine local businessmen, is celebrating its first anniversary today, Jan. 27. In celebration, the car wash is offering a list of door prizes as well as discounted platinum washes, and will be entering anyone who purchases a monthly pass, gift card or wash card into a raffle to win a free month’s worth of washes.
While the weather is not being the most cooperative, with snow and overcast skies, plenty of people have already visited Clearwater for their celebratory day. As of noon they had seen over 120 cars.
The state of the art facility is one of many across the country that captures and treats its used water, using reverse osmosis to purify it to be used in the spot free rinse. It is the only car wash within 25 miles to be WaterSavers certified, and uses only 40 gallons of fresh water per car.
The business has seen a successful first year. In Clearwater’s first press release with Ink Free News, it was predicted the car wash could provide the community with 10-15 jobs. They currently have 17 employees.
Clearwater Car Wash continually gives back to the community, hosting a Clearwater Cares Day where it chooses a local organization or cause to benefit. On those days, $2 from every wash goes towards the organization. This past year it has given back almost $20,000 to the community.
Clearwater Cares was kicked off at the grand opening when the car wash teamed up with Water For Good, a local company that helps digs wells in Africa. All of the grand opening proceeds went to the organization, which you can read about here. A portion of the company’s one-year proceeds will also be going to Water For Good.
Clearwater’s services have not gone unnoticed. The business was voted Best Car Wash in Kosciusko, as voted by the community through News Now Warsaw. It was also recognized at the Jan. 26, Chamber of Commerce Membership Awards Dinner, winning the Rising Star Award.
The Rising Star Award recognizes the county’s highest performing new companies and those that have exceeded their initial targets for growth and performance, have demonstrated understanding of competition and customers and have foundations for continued success.
