SYRACUSE – Wawasee’s freshman girls basketball team used a team effort to overwhelm Concord in a 38-23 final Wednesday night.

Rhian Galloway led the way for Wawasee (7-3) with 12 points, aided by a 7-10 performance from the free throw line. Madison Mottern finished with 11 points, Emily Davis had eight points and Lila Gregory scored seven points.

Wawasee was 11-16 from the free throw stripe in the game.

La’Kira Wagner paced the Minutemen with eight points and Catherine Shaum was one back at seven points.
