Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:

7:12 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 22, East DeFreese Road, east of North CR 300E, Milford. Driver: Shelby A. Shepherd, 42, West Boston Street, Syracuse. Shepherd was westbound on DeFreese Road when a deer entered the roadway. Shepherd swerved to avoid hitting the deer and crashed into a ditch, fence and corner post. Damage up to $10,000.

1:17 p.m. Sunday, Jan, 22, South CR 450W, south of West CR 600S, Claypool. Driver: Bianca L. Prater, 57, South CR 450W, Claypool. Driver struck a deer. Damage up to $2,500.

5:17 a.m. Monday, Jan. 23, West CR 100S, west of South SR 25, Warsaw. Driver: Brandon S. Mulldune, 29, West CR 100S, Warsaw. Mulldune reported that he swerved to avoid hitting a deer that entered the roadway. Mulldune ran off the roadway and struck a tree. Damage up to $10,000.
