SYRACUSE — Indiana Department of Education released 2016 graduation rate data for schools statewide.

Wawasee High School had 197 students graduate out of 224 for a rate of 87.9 percent, down from the rate of 89.6 in 2015. This number includes those students who received waivers.

The number of non-waiver graduates in 2016 for Wawasee was 185 for a non-waiver graduation rate of 82.6 percent, down from 86.5 percent in 2015.

Statewide in 2016, the waiver graduation rate was 89.07 percent and the non-waiver rate 82.36. Since 2006, the waiver graduation rate in the state has increased from 78.15 percent to 89.07 percent.
