Mary E. Snodgress, 83, of Warsaw, passed away at noon Friday, Jan. 6, 2017, at Center for Hospice House in Elkhart.

She was born on May 27, 1933 in Fort Wayne to Everett Kenneth and Doris Evelyn (Tutterow) Ditton.

She grew up in the Chicago area and graduated from Calumet High School in Calumet City. She was married on June 18, 1954 in Blountsville to Phillip L. “Phil” Snodgress who preceded her on April 30, 2011.

She formerly worked at Delco Remy in Anderson for 13 years, Walmart in Wabash for four years, Butterballs Convenience Store in North Manchester, and First National Bank of Warsaw. She returned to Indiana in 1954 and lived many years in the New Castle/Muncie area before moving to Warsaw.

She is survived by her son: David “Dave” Snodgress, Warsaw; her grandson: Phil Snodgress, Coldwater, Mich. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers, Kenneth & James Ditton.

No services are planned at this time. Burial will take place at a later date in the Mooreland Cemetery in Mooreland. Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw is in charge of arrangements.
