Marilyn Ann Saner, 81, Akron, passed at 5:20 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2016 at her residence.

She was born on Jan. 13, 1935 in Kosciusko County to Henry I. and Thelma L. (McFarland) Lockridge.

She was married on June 13, 1952 in Claypool to Roy Lee Saner, who preceded on March 21, 2008.

She worked for Harvey’s Dime Store for over 20 years and for Day Hardware for 20 years both of Akron.

She was a 1952 graduate of Beaver Dam High School. She attended the Beaver Dam United Methodist Church. She enjoyed attending Tippecanoe Valley Basketball games and held season tickets for over 30 years on the front row. She collected spoons, trolls and enjoyed going to auctions. She also enjoyed watching all sports. She was always very close to her twin sister Sue. It was a point of pride that there were four sets of twins in the family.

She is survived by her daughters: Melanie (Ray) Hollett, Warsaw; Marilee (Terrence) Wires, Cromwell; her sons: Jim (Jan) Saner, Akron; Mike (Mary) Saner, Akron; Mark Saner, Akron; 13 grandchildren: Missy Kristen, Jayme, Amy, David, Rachel, Daniel, Nathaniel, Brooke, Megan, Brandt, Marcus and Leigh; 24 great grandchildren; sisters: twin Carolyn Sue Petrosky, Akron; Marjorie Nordman, North Manchester; Rita Lynn, Wabash.
She was preceded by her parents and her husband.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27 at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron. The funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 28. Pastor Butch Troke will officiate. Burial will take place at Akron Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice or the Beaver Dam United Methodist Church
