DUNLAP – With a huge circle on the horizon, NorthWood’s wrestling team made sure it didn’t look past some local responsibilities. The Panthers defeated Concord’s wrestling team 48-30 Tuesday night in a Northern Lakes Conference dual ahead of a huge weekend set of tests.

Winning for the Panthers on the mats in Dunlap were Cameron Jones at 113, Austin Bingham at 120, Brock Lechlitner at 138, Jacob Chupp at 145, Garrett Griffin at 152, Mikey Edwards at 160, Lennix Yates at 182 and Michael Leonard at 195 – all gaining maximum points in their opportunities.

NorthWood moves to 4-2 in NLC duals.

On the horizon is a trip to Fort Wayne this Friday for the Indiana High School Wrestling Coaches Association Team State Duals at the Allen County Memorial Coliseum. NorthWood will compete in the 2-A bracket. Culver Academy, Jimtown and Garrett are among other area teams in the 2-A bracket.
