WINONA LAKE – Grace College picked up another volleyball recruit this week with the decision finalized by Fairfield High School star Makayla Bell.

Bell was a standout for the Class 3-A powerhouse program from Benton. The senior outside hitter led the team with 110 kills, a 41 percent kill percentage and had a team-leading 11 blocks. She was second on the team in aces with 27 and third in digs with 168.

Bell was part of a program that won sectional titles in 2013 and 2014.

In 2016, Grace went 14-19 overall and boasts of another Fairfield product in junior Sierra Smith. The Lady Lancers are coached by Katie Van Hofwegen, who will enter her third year at the helm next fall.
