PIERCETON —Mrs. Ball’s fourth grade students at Pierceton Elementary School have demonstrated great Christmas generosity for our U.S. troops.

Mrs. Ball’s students donated a variety of items – enough to pack three large “Boodle Boxes” to say thank you to U.S. soldiers serving overseas!  Students and their parents donated a variety of items such as socks, blankets, games, snacks, puzzles, books, shampoo and holiday items (all items requested by a U.S. Unit Commander).  Students also wrote letters of appreciation and encouragement to the three soldiers who will receive the boxes.

All items received were packed to the brim in three large boxes, known as “boodle” by the troops, and shipped off to be enjoyed by three U.S. soldiers who won’t be able to make it home for Christmas.

Many thanks to students, parents and Mrs. Vicki Perry who helped Mrs. Ball’s class coordinate the logistics of mailing our boxes!
