WARSAW — The Warsaw Community Schools Food Services Department found a unique way for students to celebrate Indiana’s 200th birthday.

On Friday, Dec. 9, the food services department prepared an entire menu for all area school students out of food completely grown or prepared in Indiana.

Director of food services Marci Franks said the schools already use a lot of Indiana vendors for their meals, however, in order to celebrate Indiana’s birthday, they made sure everything was grown or prepared in Indiana.

Franks said the food services department wanted to do this, “To bring attention to the great state of Indiana.”
