DENVER – The Lakeland Christian Academy boys basketball team saw its three-game winning streak come to an end Tuesday night.
Host North Miami pulled away late to top the Cougars 53-45.
The hosts led just 32-29 at the end of the third period before outscoring LCA 21-16 in the fourth quarter to notch the win.
Jake Harmon led the way for the Cougars with 15 points.
Josh McDaniel had 10 points and the duo of Noah Twombly and Landon Twobly each had eight points for LCA. Jeremy Gross had nine rebounds and McDaniel five. Landon Twombly led his team with seven assists.
North Miam led 11-10 after the first quarter and 20-17 at halftime en route to the win.
Zane Briggs led the hosts, who improved to 3-3, with a game-high 19 points. Tristan Working finished with 13 points for the winners.
LCA, now 3-3, will play in the Bethany Christian Tournament on Saturday. North Miami plays at Rochester Friday night.
