WARSAW — Horizon Bank announces donation to Gradway in Warsaw. The donation, in the amount of $1,000, was presented by Lindy Breeden, market president of Kosciusko County to Gradway President, Ot Schroeder on Nov. 10.
“The support that Horizon Bank has provided will provide continued Graduation Coaching for young people so that they may be empowered in their lives as they set goals to not only graduate but to plan for their future careers. The relationships that are developed provide for a solid foundation for these students. In addition, this money allows for an arena where collaboration amongst coaches happens so that they can improve their effectiveness as they work with the youth throughout the county,” said Schroeder.
“After six years, and 236 Gradway graduates, we know this program has a positive impact on the students served. It builds character, encourages students to advocate for themselves, and empowers students to keep the goal in mind – graduation. Horizon Bank’s contribution to Gradway allows us to continue making sure these students are encouraged, cared for, and empowered to complete high school,” said Gradway director Brittany Petersen.
“Gradway has shown amazing success by increasing High School graduation rates in Kosciusko County by providing Graduation Coaches at Wawasee, Tippecanoe Valley, Warsaw and Whitko High Schools. Horizon Bank is proud to be able to provide financial support that benefits both the students and our community,” said Breeden.
