MIDDLEBURY – The Warsaw wrestling team ran into some tough sledding Saturday.

The Tigers posted a 1-4 mark in the Northridge Raider Super Duals.

Warsaw lost to conference foes NorthWood (52-24) and host Northridge (57-24) to start the day. The Tigers then picked up a win over Fort Wayne Snider 44-35 in round three. Warsaw finished its day with losses to Homestead (51-27) and Carroll (55-20).

The duo of Kyle Hatch and Isaiah Owens led the way for coach Kris Hueber’s team. Senior standout Hatch continued his impressive season by going 5-0 with four more victories by pins and one by a tech fall. Owens was 4-1 on the day and finished his fine effort with a win by a tech fall.

The quartet of Dillon Estepp, Brock Hogenson, Jesus Gomez and Brady Stout each went 3-2 for the Tigers. Estepp posted three wins by pinfall and Hogenson notched two.

Warsaw is now 9-13 overall and 0-5 in the Northern Lakes Conference on the season.

The Tigers are off until competing in the Al Smith Classic at Mishawaka High School on Dec. 29-30.
