Upon officers’ arrival, it was determined that a suspect had barricaded himself inside of the home. The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department’s Emergency Services Unit, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, Indiana State Police helicopter, as well as several other police agencies are currently on-scene.

Officers are still at the residence and scouring the area for any additional suspects. Elkhart County Sheriff Capt. James Bradberry stated additional information may be available by the end of the day and they are hoping for a peaceful resolution.
