AKRON – Alec Craig had a huge night, helping Tippecanoe Valley to a 66-60 boys basketball win over Knox Friday night.

Craig scored a career-high 34 points and was the hot hand all night, and Valley needed it against a scrappy Knox club. The senior guard hit three from deep and was 7-10 from the free throw line in the game. Valley needed all of his output in the fourth, scoring 15 of his points, as Knox had its bomber, Kooper Broeker, also scoring in bunches.

Broeker finished with 39 points in the game, 20 of those coming in a wild fourth quarter that had Knox outscore Valley 22-16. Cade Krueger added 10 points for the Redskins.

Keith Wright and Jarod Duzenbery each scored 12 points in the winning effort for the Vikings. Tippy led by eight at the half, 34-26, and by 12, 50-38, heading into the fourth quarter.

Tippecanoe Valley (2-1) visit Culver Academy Tuesday night.
