
GOSHEN — Come join the fun and learn about our great Indiana state and celebrate the 200th birthday on Sunday, Dec. 11. The Elkhart County Extension Homemakers are hosting a celebration in the Home & Family Arts Building on the Elkhart County 4-H Fairgrounds in Goshen from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
There will be games for the children, a word search, pin Indiana on the United States map, checkers, and wooden bowling. There will be ongoing demonstrations on bread making, spinning, weaving, knitting, and other primitive crafts. Light refreshment of hot cider, popcorn and birthday cake will be served. You can also have your photo taken with the commemorative bison!
Those members helping with the celebration are Michelle Blough, Debbie George, Shirley Hershberger, Tena Jakubowicz, Barbara Jewett, Kathy Stoltzfus, Margaret Weybright and County Extension Director and Extension Educator Mary Ann Lienhart Cross.
