Lena Jane (Allen) Lowe, 88, Syracuse, died at 12:23 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2016, at Goshen Health Hospital. She was born May 13, 1928, in Kanawha County, West Virginia, to Walter Lee and Cora (Huffman) Allen. She married James K. Lowe on Sept. 23, 1972, and he died Aug. 14, 2016.

Surviving are sons: Everett “Dale” Hively; and Alan Hively, both of West Virginia; and William “Pete” (Joann) Hively, Goshen; brothers: Marshall (Christal) Allen, West Virginia; Kenny (Becky) Allen; and Roger Strickland, both of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren: Keisha Hively, Syracuse; Jeff and Sandra Hively, Milford; Tina Payne; and Bobby Hively, both of West Virginia; two great-grandchildren; many nieces; nephews; and friends. Preceding her in death are her parents; husband: James; sisters: Lucille Carnefix; and Margie Peal; and a brother: Vernon Allen.

Lena worked at American Brass in Ohio as a packer for 23 years. She was a member of the Full Gospel Community Church, New Paris. She enjoyed being involved with activities and friends at Miller’s Merry Manor, Syracuse, where she lived.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the 2 p.m. service Saturday, Nov. 26, at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, Goshen. Pastor Fred Curry will officiate and burial will follow at New Paris Cemetery.
