Barbara G. McFadden, 81, North Manchester, died at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016 in Timbercrest Healthcare Center, North Manchester. She was born Jan. 25, 1935, in Chicago, Ill., to Raymond and Kathryn (Eller) Peters. She married Ralph McFadden on June 11, 1955. She then married Ralph Royer on April 26, 2006. He died Oct. 14, 2012. She was a teacher of home economics and English for many years in several school systems and worked as a counselor to youth in several capacities and spent some time as an interior designer. She was a member of Manchester Church of the Brethren, North Manchester.

She is survived by her son: Joel (Laura) McFadden, Thornton, Colo.; her daughter: Jill (Anne Tapp) McFadden, Boulder, Colo.; brother: Bentley (Helen Gudeman) Peters, Glenwood, Minn.; and one grandchild.
