Lightning Strike Causes House Fire In Warsaw

WARSAW — A lightning strike caused a house fire around 5:55 p.m., tonight, Nov. 18 after a line of severe thunderstorms blew through the area.

Warsaw-Wayne Fire, Winona Lake Fire, Warsaw Police Department and Lutheran EMS responded to 234 Eisenhower Parkway, Warsaw for an attic fire after lightning struck the house. The fire quickly burned through a spot in the roof.

All residents were able to escape the house safely and the American Red Cross was called to the scene to assist the family.
