Noralene ‘Polly’ Piety

Noralene “Polly” Piety, 90, Fort Wayne, died at 4:59 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016 at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne.

She was born July 18, 1926 in Auxier, Ky. to Taylor and Elva (Music) Horn.

Polly was a 1944 graduate of Van Lear High School in Van Lear, Kentucky. She married Albert Piety in Wabash on March 24, 1958; he died May 31, 1996. She was a homemaker and a member of the Harmony Home Economics Club. Polly enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and flower gardening.

She is survived by two grandchildren, Jennifer (Ian) Hope, Fort Wayne; and Jarrod Colvin, Wabash; five great grandchildren: Ethan Colvin and Ella Colvin both of Wabash, Jake Burgess, Matthew Hope, and Alina Hope, all of Fort Wayne, her brother, Sam (Alice) Horn of Toledo, Ohio and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her son, Greg “Peanut” Colvin who died in 2002, two brothers, and two sisters.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor Kurt Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 1-2 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.

Preferred memorial is American Heart Association.
