ARGOS – Courtney Dunlap was on fire Tuesday night.

The Argos senior standout poured in 34 points to pace her team past Triton 47-24 in prep girls basketball action.

Argos, ranked No. 4 in Class 1-A, led 14-4 after the opening period en route to improving to 3-0 on the season. The Dragons led 21-14 at halftime before outscoring the Trojans 16-3 in the third period.

Hannah Wanemacher scored six points to lead the Triton offense. Charlotte Morris and Sara Stevens each had five points for the Trojans, who drop to 0-2.

Dunlap, who led Argos to a Class 1-A state runner-up finish last season, hit a trio of 3-pointers in her scoring outburst. Anna Barlow added seven points for the winners.

Argos won the junior varsity contest 25-18.

Triton plays at South Central Friday night. Argos hosts North Judson on Nov. 15.
