PIERCETON — The following students were nominated as November Students of the Month:

Ella Danner – Whitko High School

Ella strives for excellence and always rises above the challenge I present. She has always been positive about accepting and being pushed further in mathematics than she ever has in the past and she is enjoying the challenge. Ella was nominated by teacher, Kenny Miller.

David Ousley – Whitko Middle School

David does an outstanding job in my class while serving as a positive role model for his classmates. David also takes great ownership in his education and always gives his best effort. David was nominated by teacher, Erik Hisner.

Isla Rose– South Whitley Elementary School

Isla gives and shows service by the small things that mean big things to others. She does this each day for her classmates and teachers. She is thoughtful, cooperative, and always thinking of others. She is a true role model for her peers. It is for all these qualities that Isla Rose is selected as the South Whitley Elementary Student of the Month. Isla was nominated by teacher, Jessica Long.

Howie Johnson – Pierceton Elementary School

Howie has a caring heart. He works hard to make others in the classroom feel safe and liked. He is always the first student to jump in and lend a hand if I need something taken care of in the classroom. Things in class may not always be easy to understand or finish, but you can count on Howie to work hard and do his best to understand new learning. Howie was nominated by teacher, Kathy Wright.
