NORTH WEBSTER — The second program in the North Webster Community Public Library’s Military Program Series will be 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17. Retired Chief Master Sergeant Jeff Spickelmier will share his military experiences serving in the United States Air Force. Spickelmier is active in the North Webster American Legion Post 253, having served as past post commander. The public is invited to hear his informative presentation.
The public is also invited to enjoy the simple pleasure of coloring when the library hosts an Adult Coloring session 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15. Adult coloring is a soothing way to relax while unleashing your inner artist. The session is free, and the library provides all the supplies and coloring sheets.
Later that day things get spiced up when Revolving Recipe Round-Up meets at 5:30 p.m. to share and sample Mexican food. If you have a favorite Mexican recipe, prepare it and bring it to share. It will be a fun time of discovering new dishes from south of the border. The library supplies the table service and free coffee.
There will be a bunch of angry birds flying around the Youth Services Department during Family Movie Time 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17. Showing is an animated, action-adventure comedy about three bird friends who put their anger to good use fighting back against a hostile force. The movie is rated PG and runs one hour and 37 minutes. The movie is free and so is the popcorn.
If you missed the tenth annual North Webster Cemetery Walk last September, you can now view the re-enactments on the library’s website. The enactors are videotaped portraying the individuals that were honored during the Cemetery Walk. Whether you missed it or want to enjoy an encore, go to the library’s website and click on the 2016 Cemetery Walk link.
Stop by the Check It Out Station at the front of the library and play the November Trivia Game. Answer the daily trivia question and get entered in a drawing to win a prize. A new question is posted each day. The more you play, the more chances to win. The drawing will be held Dec. 1.
