AKRON – The Tippecanoe Valley High School Athletic Department is selling tickets for the girls basketball portion of the Hall of Fame Classic.

The Valley girls team, which is ranked No. 4 in the Class 3-A preseason poll, is set to take part in the four-team event on Dec. 29 in New Castle. It will be the first time in school history that a Valley basketball team has played in the event, which is by invitation only each year.

The tickets are available during school hours at a cost of $10 for an all-tourney ticket. The first 250 fans to purchase a ticket will also receive a free T-shirt. The tickets will cost $20 at the doors on the day of the tournament.

The annual HOF Class will be played at the New Castle Fieldhouse. The facility, which seats 9,325, is the largest high school gym in the country.

The HOF Classic tips-off Dec. 29 at 11 a.m. with Plainfield versus Greenfield Central. Tippecanoe Valley will then play North Harrison. The consolation game is at 6 p.m. with the championship contest to follow.
