Pearl LaVern Fisher, 95, Bourbon, went on to glory with Jesus at 5 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 30, 2016 at the Wampler Senior Home in Bourbon.

Pearl was born in Nappanee Oct. 16, 1921 to the late Walter and Minnie (Miller) Young. On Dec. 25, 1937, she married Hershel G. Fisher in Bourbon. They celebrated 70 years of marriage before his passing on Jan. 13, 2008.

She helped out on the family farm, raising chickens, and had a wonderful garden. Hershel and Pearl wintered in Florida over the winter months and enjoyed the time they spent with friends there.

Surviving to celebrate her memory are three children: Carolyn (George) Reed of Nappanee; Bill (Diane) Fisher of Bourbon; and Donna (Larry) Lemler of Bourbon; 15 grandchildren: Cheryl, Darlene, Angie, Brent, Nathaniel, Gabrielle, Benjamin, Jeremiah, Brian, Matt, Jason, Jennifer, Christy, Lauren and Andrew; and 12 great grandchildren, Justin, Micah, Jesse, Ashley, Isaac, Ashlynn, Lennon, Aspen, Jonathan, Calvin, Addison, and Jackson and two great great grandchildren, Maeli and Julian. She is also survived by a brother, Carl Young of Elkhart.

She is preceded in death by daughter, Loretta Thomas; son-in-law, Lee Thomas; grandson, Keith Thomas; and by sisters: Hilda, Marjorie, Lula, Beulah, Helen and Wanetta and brothers, Lester, Loren, and Noble.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 3 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St. Rd. 331, Bremen. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 4, in Bremen Missionary Church, 2958 Elm Rd., Bremen with one hour of visitation prior the start of the service. Burial will follow in Bremen Cemetery.
