PIERCETON — At Approximately 8:20 p.m., Pierceton First Responders were called out to a fully engulfed house fire at 4769 East CR 500S, Pierceton. The residence was reportedly vacant at the time of the fire.

A full assist from Sydney Fire Department and Winona Lake Fire Department were called for out by dispatch. Claypool and Burket fire were put on stand by for tanker use and extra manpower.

The residence was completely destroyed, but first responders got control of the fire before a close by barn was harmed.
