CASA Holiday Festival, Annual Fundraising Event
KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — On Friday, Nov. 11, CASA of Kosciusko County will be hosting the 15th annual Holiday Festival fundraiser.
The event will be from 6 to 10 p.m. and will be held at Image Air Charters hangar located at 2815 Foreman Drive. Warsaw, at the Warsaw Airport. The event will consist of guests from our corporate sponsors, business leaders and other CASA supporters from Northern Indiana. This year’s event committee members will be building on last year’s exciting changes. They will again have tables and this year guests can relax as meals are served. Attendees will again be provided with two free drink vouchers to use on beer or wine. In addition, there will be a cash bar provided by The Downtown Eatery and Spirits. As a fun new feature guests will be able to purchase entry to the Ice Bar where you can taste specialty vodka in a fun environment.
The event will feature a full sit-down meal masterfully pulled together by local food vendors. For those wanting to take the event to a new level there is VIP seating with premium wines and specialty appetizers waiting at your table. The theme is “A Wonderland of Hope for Children” and guests will find themselves stepping into a wintry wonderland. CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Kosciusko County is a nonprofit organization committed to speaking for the best interest of children who are at risk for abuse and neglect. CASA recruits, trains and supports volunteers to serve as advocates for children in the family court system. With help from the community, this year’s Holiday Festival is expected to raise funds over $100,000, which will be used to help local children in need of services. The demand for CASA is greater than ever and the cost associated to serve a single child can be as much as $1,000. Support at this year’s event will enable CASA to continue training volunteers to serve as advocates for abused and neglected children and allow for the necessary tools needed for future volunteer recruitment and ongoing supervision.
“The children of our community need your help. The children whose voices our volunteers represent are brought into the court system due to no fault of their own. They need specially trained individuals to inform the court as to what is needed to meet their best interests,” states Mackenzie Cloutier, CASA Executive Director.
