Esther R. Walsh, 88, Rochester, passed away at 9:45 a.m. Friday, Oct. 21, 2016 at her residence.

She was born Jan. 3, 1928 in Tiosa, the daughter of Oswald O. and Mabel R. (Shelley) Palmer. On May 28, 1949 in Rochester, she married Arthur Dale Walsh. He preceded her in death Nov. 10, 1993.

Esther Walsh had been a homemaker and a member of the Eastern Star. She spent many years wintering in Lake Placid, Fla. She enjoyed camping, sewing, fishing and playing cards.

Survivors include her children: Elizabeth “Liz” and husband Mike Kelsey, Apalachicola, Fla.; Barbara “Sue” Cook, Rochester; William “Bill” Walsh, Rochester; Michael Walsh and companion Angela Schock, Santa Clarita, Calif.; six grandchildren: Rodney and wife Debbie Bickle, Rochester; Chris and wife Beth Bickle, Rochester; Andi and husband Jason Kiser, Rochester; Kyle Cook, Wakefield, Kan.; Lee Walsh, Oxnard, Calif.; Joe and wife Cynthia Walsh, Camarillo, Calif.; nine great grandchildren; sister, Lois Burns, Rochester; brother, Floyd and wife Hazel Palmer, Argos.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.

Memorial graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12 at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rochester.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Friends of the Fulton County Parks and Recreation Department Inc.
