WHITESTOWN – The Lakeland Christian Academy volleyball team closed out its regular season with a win and a loss in action Saturday.
LCA defeated host Traders Point Christian Academy 20-25, 25-22, 25-15, 25-16. Oak Hill defeated the Cougars 25-22, 25-16, 25-17.
Cami Dahms led LCA in their win over Traders Point with eight kills to go with 16 digs and an ace.
Carlie Wise had seven aces, four digs and a block and Sydney Hobbs had two aces, four digs and eight assists for the Cougars in the victory. Baylee Wiley had four aces and three digs, Natalie Plastow seven digs and Morgan Ziebarth a block. Jessica Slone finished with two aces, three kills and five digs, while Kyla Kohler had four aces, three kills and 11 digs and Kaitlyn Binegar had two aces.
Dahms also had a big match in the loss to Oak Hill with three aces, two kills, six digs, two assists and a block. Wise had five aces and a block and Hobbs had three aces, three digs and nine assists for the Cougars.
Wiley had an ace, two kills and five digs and Ziebarth two blocks. Plastow had four digs and Slone had a kill and five digs. Kohler had four kills and eight digs and Binegar two digs.
LCA, now 7-23, will play Hamilton on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. in the opening match of the Class 1-A Hamilton Sectional.
