Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:

4:07 a.m. Friday, Oct. 14, East CR 200N and North CR 100E, Winona Lake. Driver: Kalli F. Volkert, 24, South SR 15, Claypool. Volkert became distracted while making a turn and ended up off the road way, driving into a utility pole. Damages up to $5,000.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

7:12 a.m. Friday, Oct. 14, 590 West CR 300N, Warsaw. Drivers: Michael C. Armino, 22, West Primrose Court, Warsaw, and Scott F. Wellman, 43, Chapman Lake Drive, Warsaw. Armino was traveling behind Wellman. Armino thought Wellman was turning left but instead he turned right without signaling his turn. Armino then crashed into Wellman. Damages up to $10,000.

2:10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, Lake City Highway and East Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Scott A. Charlton, 54, West Lovetts Court, Warsaw, and Paul W. Smith, 38, Hengstler Road, Wapakoneta, Ohio. Charlton side-swiped Smith. Damages up to $2,500.

2:43 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, North Colfax Street and East Center Street, Warsaw. Driver: Michael S. Zimmerman, 51, Belmont Drive, Warsaw. Zimmerman failed to see a pedestrian as he was turning left, causing him to strike the pedestrian. Damages under $750.

Kosciusko

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:

6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, North CR 175E and East CR 450N, Warsaw. Driver: Sofia M. Carrillo, 26, East CR 200N, Warsaw. Carrillo hit a deer. Damages up to $2,500.
