Warsaw SportsNAPPANEE – The Warsaw freshman football team picked up a big win at NorthWood Thursday night.

NorthWood led 16-14 at halftime before the Tigers rallied for the NLC win.

Williamson’s top play in the win came as he blocked a punt to set up the game-winning possession by his team. He also returned a fumble 75 yards for a touchdown after he sacked the NorthWood quarterback on the play. Williamson also had five tackles for loss on defense and added five receptions for 60 yards, including a touchdown, on offense.

Wyatt Amiss passed for 185 yards for the Tigers and also collected an interception on defense.

Johnny Feldman had 22 carries for 75 yards and a score for the winners. Blake Marsh had a pair of big receptions for 75 yards for the Tigers in the win.

The trio of Brock Hueber, Jayton Brock and Feldman were cited for their play on defense.
