SYRACUSE — Savannah Shelby, Brianna Haessig and Judy Smith were named winners in the Syracuse Parks and Recreation Department and Syracuse-Wawasee Chamber of Commerce Scenic Syracuse Photo Contest. The contest ended Oct. 5 and was organized with the Syracuse-Wawasee Historical Museum.

Shelby won the elementary school division, Haessig the high school division and Smith the adult division. Winners will receive gift cards to local businesses.

Participants could submit photos in three categories, including community activities and events, wildlife and nature and local landmarks. The winning entries will be framed and displayed at the community center and chamber office.
