WARSAW — The RedBird Art Studio held a gallery at the VIC during First Friday’s Art-ober event.

The gallery showcased work from 25 of the studio’s artists, with pieces ranging from jewelry to paintings to sewing.

All of the artwork is completely designed by those served by Cardinal Services. “They enter the space and then they dictate what they are feeling and what they want to do,” says community integration coordinator Michele Fanfare-Steury. “The great thing about the art studio is it allows them that choice [of what to create]. All of our artists have special abilities.”

Proceeds from the sale go back to the artists. “With every sale, 60 percent goes back to the artist,” says Fanfare-Steury. “If they can supplement their income then their job becomes their art.”

“We have had a great turnout today,” Fanfare-Steury commented on the events turnout.
