Warsaw SportsSYRACUSE – The Warsaw freshman football team picked up a 34-26 win at Wawasee Thursday night.

Wyatt Amiss threw a pair of touchdown passes and Johnny Feldman rushed for two scores to lead the Tigers to the Northern Lakes Conference win.

Jack Williamson and Blake Marsh each had a touchdown reception for Warsaw, which led 16-13 at halftime.

Williamson also had a big game on special teams and defense as he blocked a punt, returned a blocked punt for a score and had two sacks.

Gage Lyon had a fumble recovery and Brock Hueber two sacks for the Warsaw defense. Amiss had an interception and Thad West had two pass deflections.

Warsaw improves to 4-3 overall and goes to 3-2 in NLC play with the win. The Tigers play at NorthWood Oct. 13 at 5:30 p.m.
