Warsaw Soccer: JV Girls Wrap Up Season

Warsaw SportsWARSAW – The Warsaw girls soccer junior varsity team wrapped up its season Saturday by going 1-1 in the Northern Lakes Conference tournament.

The host Tigers started their day with a 2-0 loss to Concord.

The trio of Jacie Nier, Daniela Ochoa and Emma Pene were cited for their outstanding play in leading Warsaw.

The Tigers then came back to top Goshen 1-0 to finish out the tournament. Angela Martinez-Ortez scored the lone goal of the match for the winners.

Goalie Aaliyah Quinn-Pesina and players Pene, Amanda West, Tobi Shipley and Sarah O’cock were recognized for their efforts for the Tigers in the victory.

Warsaw finishes its season with a record of 5-10.
