The Lakeland Christian Academy volleyball team dropped a 3-0 final to MCAC.

The guests beat the Cougars 25-18, 25-12, 25-16 in the varsity matchup.

Heather Plastow had two aces, three kills and 19 digs to pace LCA.

Lyness Mudila had a kill and five assists and Nathaly Zapata four digs for the Cougars. Kaitlin Binegar had two kills to go with four digs and three assists. Baylee Wiley had two aces, three kills and seven digs and Cristal Vindel an ace and six digs.

Natalie Plastow had five digs and Jessica Slone three kills, six digs and two blocks for LCA.

LCA will host the Goshen Blue Blazers on Tuesday night.

Boys Soccer

The Lakeland Christian Academy boys soccer team came up short in a 3-2 loss at Trinity.

Noel Blum gave the Cougars a 1-0 lead to start the match. Trinity answered with the next three goals to lead 3-1 at halftime.

Parker Stewart added a score in the second half for LCA.

LCA goalie Cross Williams had seven saves in the contest.

LCA, which drops to 7-6-1, will face Culver on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Argos Sectional.
