GeNelle Ruth Smoker, 75, Rochester, passed away at 7:14 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016 at her residence.

On Dec. 25, 1940, GeNelle  was born in Kewanna to Arnold L. and Ione Reed Zellers.

GeNelle and Ernest A. Smoker were married in Kewanna Dec. 17, 1959.

GeNelle is lovingly remembered by her husband, Ernie; a daughter, Edwina Smoker and partner Loyda Mercado of Tulsa, Okla.; granddaughter, Taylor McDaniel of Edmond, Okla.; four brothers: Larry Zellers and wife Janice of Lafontaine; Raymond Zellers and wife Jane of Eustis, Fla.; Howard Zellers and wife Mary Ann of Albion, Ill.; Kenny Zellers, of Brandon, Fla.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceding GeNelle in death are her parents, a son Eric E. Smoker on Feb. 14, 2001, and Cosmo, a short hair Tabby.

Pastors Kerry O’Brien and  Joyce Oliver will officiate services. Interment will be in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
