GOSHEN – Trying to squeeze the opening round of the tournament in, the rain just wasn’t having it Wednesday afternoon over the skies at the Goshen Boys Tennis Sectional.

Rain halted play between Fairfield and NorthWood, which began today at 4:30 p.m. but was unable to finish before conditions forced the tournament to freeze.

The Fairfield-NorthWood matchup will continue Thursday either outdoors at Goshen Middle School or indoors at Eastlake Racquet Club in Goshen. The semi-finals will be pushed back to Friday, which will include Goshen versus Bethany Christian and Jimtown against the Fairfield-NorthWood victor.

The championship match will be pushed to Saturday, time and location to be determined.
