Ronald L. Stephens, 58, Angola, died of natural causes Sunday, Sept. 25, 2016, at his home.

He was born Feb. 13, 1958, in LaPorte to Mary (Tamlin) Stephens.

Survivors include his mother: Mary, Goshen; biological father: Clifford Gibson, California; three daughters: Veronica Stephens, Milford; Sharon Harris, Syracuse; and Georgina Stephens, Middlebury; former wife: Sharon Stephens, Syracuse; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three sisters: Roxanne Buzzard, Angola; Rebecca (Dana) Stanley, Topeka; and Robin Yoder, Shipshewana. He was preceded in death by his father: Charles “Chuck” Stephens; brothers: Randy Gibson; and Roger Stephens; and a sister: Kimberly Gibson.

Ron served in the United States Marine Corps and was a truck driver for XP Expedition, Marion. He was a member of the Goshen DAV, Elkhart Eagles and American Legion Post #31, Angola.

Visitation will be begin at noon Saturday, Oct. 1, until the 2 p.m. funeral service, with military honors, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen.

Cremation will take place after the service with burial in West Goshen Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial gifts may be directed to Yoder-Culp Funeral Home to assist the family with final expenses.
