bdelbert-beeryDelbert Arlan Beery, 69, North Manchester, passed away at 11:17 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Mr. Beery was born May 12, 1947, in Wabash County, the son of the late Glen A. Beery and Maurine Brower Beery. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He attended Purdue University and graduated from Manchester University.

Mr. Beery retired from farming and operating the Beery Family Apple Orchard, and was a member of the North Manchester First Brethren Church. He was a basketball fan and loved watching TV basketball and football. He was devoted to his special brother, Lynn.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a stepson: Lee Ford.

Survivors include his wife of 16 years: Connie Beery, North Manchester; sisters: Joyce Beery Miles, Maggie Valley, N.C.; and Lois Beery Fulmer, Waynesville, N.C.; and brother: Lynn Beery, Wabash; and stepchildren: Kelley Ford, Marion; and Jerome Ford, Fowlerton.

A memorial service will be held at First Brethren Church at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 30. Pastor Ron Burns will officiate. There will be visitation with friends and family at the church from 10-11 a.m. Friday.

Memorials may be made to the First Brethren Church Summer Camp Scholarship Fund in care of the First Brethren Church, 407 N. Sycamore St., North Manchester, IN 46962.
