Ted Rylan Thomas Clark, 16, passed away on Friday, Sept. 16. Rylan was born on May 8, 2000 in South Bend.  He was currently in the tenth grade at Plymouth High School. Rylan was very active with the Boy Scouts, Troop 257 in Plymouth and loved working at the Boy Scout Camp where he was a member of their faculty. He enjoyed track and cross country in junior high as well as at Plymouth High School. Rylan loved the outdoors, animals, horses and camping with his grandmother. He enjoyed cutting trees down, chopping wood and widdling. Rylan was generous with his time by volunteering and he wanted to make a difference in other people’s lives. His long term goal was to join the United States Coast Guard and excel as a saturated underwater welder.

Rylan is survived by his parents; father, Ted Allen (Paola) Clark, Plymouth; mother, Rhonda (fiance, Jamie Sullivan) Gibson, Plymouth; sister, Olyvia Sue Clark, at home; half-brother, Austyn Lee of Fort Campbell, KY; grandparents, Ruth Ann Clark of Knox, Jacinto and Bertha Flores, Gainesville, Florida, and Dennis and Sue Gibson, Plymouth. Rylan is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family. Rudy L. Clark, Rylan’s grandfather, preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 20, at the Plymouth Wesleyan Church, 11203 S. Michigan Road, Plymouth. Pastor Ollie Dongell and the pastoral staff at the church, will officiate.  Friends may visit with the family from 3-7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Plymouth Wesleyan Church. Palmer Funeral Home, Lakeville, is assisting with funeral arrangements.
