Local Tri Kappa Scholarship Reciepients
WARSAW — The air is cooling, the leaves turning, fall is on the way and students are back to school. Many students are off to college, some for the first time. Several area students are able to go or return to college thanks to the help of local scholarships.
The Alpha Lambda Chapter of Tri Kappa would like to recognize the following students who received scholarships for this academic year:
- Ethan Cook of Warsaw Community High School received the Alpha Lambda scholarship as is attending Dartmouth College studying science.
- Analiese Helms of Warsaw Community High School received a Georgianna Easterday scholarship and is attending Taylor University studying Music Education and Biology.
- Mikayla Findley of Whitko High School received a Georgianna Easterday scholarship and is attending Kendall College and studying Baking and Pastry Culinary Arts.
- Alexandria Batista of Wawasee High School received a Georgianna Easterday scholarship and is attending Purdue University studying Pharmacy.
- Emily Day of Whitko High School is attending IPFW and studying Biology.
- Emily Hughes of Whitko High School is attending Valpraiso University and studying Biology.
- Sydney Peugh of Warsaw Community High School is attending Taylor University and studying Business.
- Owen Glogovsky of Warsaw Community High School is attending Lipscomb University and studying Biology.
- Karly Kitch of Tippecanoe Valley High School is attending Purdue University and studying Elementary Education.
- Jacob Poyner is attending Lipscomb University and studying Exercise Science.
The Alpha Lambda Chapter of Tri Kappa in Warsaw was able to award over $10,000 in college scholarships thanks to the generosity of our community. When you support a Tri Kappa event or fundraiser, you help support charity, culture, and education in our community.
Our current fundraiser is our annual pumpkin sale. There are three pumpkin designs available this year: a girl scarecrow, a boy scarecrow, and a limited edition “Honor Indiana” pumpkin that resembles our state flag.
