WARSAW — As part of the October Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Altrusa International of Warsaw coordinates an annual Bingo for Beaman Home event. This year it will be held October 20th at the Center Lake Pavilion in Warsaw with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door, but don’t wait because the event sold out last year prior to Bingo day.
Tickets may be purchased at the Beaman Home’s new campus at 603 N. Parker Street in Warsaw or by emailing [email protected]. Ticket price includes bingo cards, a meal and a chance to win a door prize. Indiana gaming regulations restrict participation in Bingo events to those age 18 and over.
The public is invited to join the fun and support the local Shelter and Outreach Center at the same time. All proceeds from the Bingo event benefit the recently-expanded programs and services of the Beaman Home which has served the community’s domestic violence victims and their dependent children for over 30 years.
Altrusa established the Beaman Home in 1985. Beaman Home has operated 24 hours a day, seven days a week since that time and recently moved into a new facility on North Parker Street better equipped to serve the needs of area domestic violence victims. Annually they provide advocacy services to nearly 1,000 domestic violence victims from Kosciusko, Fulton and Marshall counties working toward reducing or eliminating the generational cycle of violence so prevalent in families affected by abuse.
