jeannette-stetzelJeannette Stetzel, 97, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016, at Lake City Place, Warsaw.  She was born in Huntington, and graduated from Huntington High School. Jeannette was a homemaker and also the manager at Gass’s Dress Shop, Huntington, and at South Gate . She had worked at General Telephone and Platt Pharmacy, Fort Wayne.  Jeannette was an avid boater, reader and a darn good euchre player. She provided many wonderful memories for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of United Faith Presbyterian Church, Fort Wayne.

Surviving are her daughter: Sharon Stetzel, Hiawassee, Ga.; daughter-in-law: Patricia (John) Bengs, Noblesville; grandson: Michael (Christina) Stetzel; grandson: Jeffrey Stetzel, Eureka, Calif.; great-grandchildren: Courtney; Aurie; Christopher; Luke; Carly; and Natalee. Jeannette was preceded in death by husband: Gerald Stetzel; son: Thomas E. Stetzel; and parents: Russell and Ruth Overpack.

Surviving are her   daughter, Sharon Stetzel of Hiawassee, GA; daughter-in-law, Patricia (John) Bengs of Noblesville, IN; grandson, MIchael (Christina) Stetzel grandson, Jeffrey Stetzel of Eureka, CA; great grandchildren, Courtney, Aurie, Christoper,  Luke, Carly and Natalee . Jeannette was preceded in death by husband, Gerald Stetzel, son, Thomas E. Stetzel and parents Russell and Ruth  Overpack.

Service is 11 a.m. Sept. 13, at D. O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, with Pastor Kathleen O’Connell officiating. Calling at D. O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, is from 9:30-11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne.

Memorials may be made to the United Faith Presbyterian Church, Fort Wayne.
