Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:

7:22 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, at South CR 900W and SR 25, Mentone. Driver: Tammy J. Barnes, 50, South SR 14, Akron. Barnes hit a deer. Damages up to $2,500.

9:31 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, at North CR 675E and East CR 650N, North Webster. Driver: Alan S. Abrams, 58, EMS T47 Lane, Leesburg. Abrams went off the road and struck a mailbox after an oncoming car drifted into his lane. Damages up to $5,000.

10:44 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, at East CR 250S, Pierceton. Driver: Matthew D. Owens, 35, North First Street, Pierceton. Owens backed into a parked vehicle in a private driveway. Damages up to $5,000.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:

3:18 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, at West Center Street and North Lake Street. Driver: Christopher J. Creekmore. 45. East US 30, Pierceton. Creekmore sideswiped an unoccupied parked vehicle. Damages up to $2,500.

Syracuse

Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:

3:36 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, at South Huntington Street and East Palm Drive. Drivers: Travis A. Miller, 35, East Maple Grove, Syracuse, and Sarah D. Dock, 35, West CR 600N, Columbia City. Miller rear ended Dock. Damages up to $2,500.
