Girls Soccer
The Whitko girls soccer team fell 4-0 to Mississinewa Saturday afternoon.
Whitko is now 2-5 on the season and hosts Wawasee on Wednesday.
Boys Soccer
Whitko’s boys soccer team took a 4-1 loss Saturday afternoon at the hands of Mississinewa.
Chase Castillo scored Whitko’s lone goal off an assist from Austin Bernicky. Devin Goggin recorded 11 saves in goal.
Whitko is now 0-8 on the season and travels to Hamilton on Wednesday.
Boys Cross Country
The Whitko boys cross country team ran at the Marion Invite on Saturday. Though the team was unable to qualify for a team score due to not having enough runners, all four of Whitko’s competitors ran season-best times.
Logan Busz (18:52.7) paced the Wildcats, followed by Zack Freel (19:58.0), Ezra Miller (20:51.2), Caden Compton (24:58.9).
Whitko is back in action Tuesday night at Heritage High School for a 5 p.m. start.
Girls Cross Country
The girls cross country team suffered a similar fate as they were also unable to post a team score. Whitko’s girls wee paced by Sarah Walters (21:55.9), who was 20th overall. Hannah Yohe (22:34.3), Amanda Leppek (24:57.7) and Angle Moyer (28:21.5) rounded out the times for Whitko.
The girls run again Tuesday at Heritage with a 5 p.m. start.
