KNOX – Sequoya Elder stood tall for Knox’s boys tennis team, rallying for a win at two singles that propelled the Redskins to a 3-2 boys tennis win against Tippecanoe Valley Wednesday afternoon.

Elder lost the first set to Seth Hoffman 6-3, but rallied to win 6-0 and 6-4 to take the court in a key win.

Erin Coad topped Keith Wright at one singles 6-0, 6-1, and Jacob Heineman beat Eric Wright 6-3, 6-1 to give Knox the singles sweep.

Valley’s one doubles team of Dakota Parker and Garrett Feldman needed a third set to beat Ethan Cooper and Jake Krueger 6-4, 1-6, 6-2. Valley two dubs of Dylan Sponseller and Chris Schipper knocked off JT Tolson and Corey Hackler 6-0, 6-0.

Valley (1-4) hosts LaVille Thursday afternoon.
