Six Businesses Renew Alcohol Permits

Four renewals passed at the meeting without questions or discussion.

WARSAW — The Alcoholic Beverage Board of Kosciusko County renewed alcohol permits for six local businesses at this months meeting on Thursday, Sept. 1.

Renewals with no violations include:

  • Liquid Assets, East Center Street, Warsaw
  • Spike’s Beach Grill, Eastlake Drive, Warsaw
  • Old Depot, East Market Street, Pierceton
  • Boathouse Restaurant, Park Avenue, Winona Lake

All passed unanimously with no questions or discussion.

Barbee Landing, North Barbee Road, Warsaw, owner Joel Stein and manager Misty Converse were present to discuss their permit renewal after a violation. Barbee Landing received two violations for failure to properly display a alcohol license and failure to display no smoking signage. They paid a $75 fine.

Cerulean, East Canal Street, Winona Lake, was renewed after a violation for failure to post no smoking signage on both public entrances. Present was owner Caleb France, who apologized for his absence at last month’s meeting. France paid a $75 fine for the violation.

Pizza Hut, Lake City Highway, Warsaw, had an unstated violation. A representative was absent and business will be continued next month.
