Janice J. Carter, 87, formerly of Plymouth, passed away Monday, Aug. 29, 2016, in the Miller’s Merry Manor of Culver.
Janice was born Dec. 19, 1928 in Fulton County, to Fred and Dessie (Young) Plantz. Janice retired from the Culver Academy as their purchasing agent. She was a Daughter of the American Revolution. Janice became the bride of Ernest “Bus” Carter on May 25, 1947, he preceded her in passing on Nov. 16, 1998.
Janice is survived by her daughter, Pamela and Don Coffel of Bremen; her two sons: Kenneth and Sue Carter of Tyner; Bruce and Cindy Carter, Culver; also surviving are Janice’s sisters: Eldonna Inks, Plymouth; Millicent Lindborg, South Bend; and Patsy Entzian, South Bend; and her brother; Kenneth Plantz, LaPorte; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Janice is preceded in passing by her husband, Bus; daughter, Cynthia Flum; two brothers: Donald Wayne Plantz and Robert Plantz; and her grandchild.
The Van Gilder Funeral Home is honored to be caring for the Carter family.
According to Janice’s wishes a private family service will be held. Burial will be in the Culver Masonic Cemetery.
