Barbara A. Waller, 65, Columbia City, passed away at 10:22 a.m., Monday, Aug. 29, 2016, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.

Born Feb. 13, 1951 in Illinois, she was the daughter of Charles Lohse and Normal (Phipps) Geis.

Barb was a member of St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church. She was talented at knitting anything you could ever want. Barb was a kind hearted lady and was very giving and was there to help others. She enjoyed keeping a clean apartment and spending time with her longtime boyfriend of 18 years and their cat.

Survivors include her boyfriend, Ed P. Zelasko, Columbia City; sister, Kelly Jacobitz, Gainsville, Fla.; daughter, Kristin Meade, South Whitley; and son, Barry “Sonny” Morrison, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Less and Charles Lohse; and step-siblings: Calvin, Kenneth and Kathleen Geis.

A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 2, at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Cemetery with Father Dale Bauman officiating.
